Grout Repair
I know there are some tile installers out there. I'm new to reparing grout. Do you have any suggestions you could recommend. Are the home depot ready mixes the way to go? Posted By: Kenton Karrasch on 3/20/2007 10:35:28 PM
Re: Grout Repair
DO NOT USE PREMIX GROUTS! TOO MUCH WATER IN THEM. I'VE BEEN IN FLOORING FOR 32 YRS. AND JUST HAD A REGROUT. 45 SF CLEAN/SEAL, 27 YR OLD HOME, WHITE GROUT, HAD BEEN EATEN AWAY BY ACID CLEANERS. THINSET(GLUE) WAS SHOWING THROUGH GROUT. I USED TEC WHITE SANDED GROUT FOR THIS AND ADDED $200.00 TO JOB. COST WAS ABOUT $18.00 PLUS 2 HOURS DRIVE TIME AND 3 HOURS ON-SITE.
